SPECIAL NOTES:

  • This position created as a full-time plus, summer-season job

TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate survey instruments under the supervision of the assigned crew chief
  • Research deeds and maps for Monroe & surrounding counties
  • Utilize GIS software in-house to reference existing jobs
  • Assist in completion of title & mortgage surveys
  • Assist in completion of construction surveys
  • Assist in completion of topographic surveys
  • Assist in completion of boundary surveys

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Experience with any of the following is helpful:
  • Carlson Data Collectors
  • Topcon Total Stations
  • SurvCE Software
  • GPS Equipment

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Position well suited to those currently pursuing a degree
  • Any academic experience you have will be helpful
  • Any field experience you have will be helpful

LICENSE & CERTIFICATION:

  • Not required for this position

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • Compensation will vary based on experience
  • Typical rates are from $14 to $16 per hr
  • We pay time and a half for overtime
  • There will be plenty of overtime
  • Reimbursed parking expenses

Our summers are filled with overtime opportunities, either after hours or on weekends.  We will open up overtime starting in April and it will last well into the fall.  We are a very fast-paced company that upholds accuracy and standards to produce the best possible deliverables for our clients.  Our firm is extremely well established in the Rochester, Monroe County, and western New York communities.
